13The Commission has the power to administer this Act and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, it is the function of the Commission
(a)
to forward the principle that every person is free and equal in dignity and rights without regard to race, colour, religion, national origin, ancestry, place of origin, age, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or expression, social condition or political belief or activity,
(b)
to promote an understanding of, an acceptance of, and compliance with this Act, and
(c)
to develop and conduct educational programs designed to eliminate discriminatory practices related to race, colour, religion, national origin, ancestry, place of origin, age, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or expression, social condition or political belief or activity.
